*Canceled* Tend, Gather & Grow: Wild Spring Greens Workshop

We are sorry but this class has been canceled. Please consider taking our Cultural Ecosystems training. We also work with schools, tribes, and organizations on leading teacher trainings. Best wishes, The Tend Team.

Embrace the gifts of spring! Taste edible greens including nettles, dandelion, chickweed, wild lettuces, salmonberry sprouts, violets, and bigleaf maple blossoms. These nutritional superstars promote vitality and attunement to the land. After a plant walk around the GRuB farm, we will prepare and sample a feast of wild foods! Explore lessons in the Tend, Gather and Grow Wild Food Traditions Module and the Plant Guide, and practice teaching back activities. Participants will receive a curriculum that is adaptable for young kids through adults with lesson plans, Northwest Native stories, and recipes. We will spend some time outside; please dress in layers and wear comfortable shoes. We will provide coffee, tea, snacks - please bring your own lunch. Clock hours are available for Washington State teachers.

This 2 day training takes place 9:30am-4:00pm each day at the GRuB farm in 2016 Elliott AVE NW, Olympia, WA facilitated by Mariana Harvey (Yakama), Elise Krohn and Kim Gaffi.

We have a number of scholarships available with a priority on Indigenous educators. Please fill out this form to inquire about scholarships. For any questions about this workshop or scholarships, connect with Mariana Harvey at mariana@tahomapeak.com
